Visão geral : “Blinded by the Light –O Poder da Música” é uma alegre história de coragem, amor, esperança, família e da capacidade única que a música tem de erguer o espírito humano. O filme conta a história de Javed (Viveik Kalra), um adolescente britânico de ascendência paquistanesa que cresceu na cidade de Luton, em Inglaterra, em 1987. Entre a agitação racial e económica da época, ele escreve poesia como forma de fugir à intolerância da sua cidade natal e à inflexibilidade do seu pai tradicional. Mas quando um colega de turma lhe introduza música de Bruce Springsteen, Javed revê a sua vida de classe trabalhadora nas letras poderosas das canções. À medida que Javed vai descobrindo uma saída libertadora para os seus sonhos reprimidos, começa também a encontrar coragem para se expressar com a sua própria voz e de forma única.
